Designed in 2001, Oitavos Dunes is considered one of the best golf courses at the moment. Positioned in 55th place in the prestigious Top 100 by Golf Magazine 2017, it ranks number one in Portugal. The planning of the golf course involved the preservation of the delicate ecosystem of the dunes on which it sits. The Oitavos Dunes is the first golf course in Europe and second in the world to get the Gold Signature Sanctuary status, quality certificate awarded by Audubon International. All 18 holes of this field offer stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and of Sintra.
