The country's first Visitor Center with coworking space reopened in Cascais
Cascais, June 5, 2023
With everyone who identifies with Cascais in mind, the Visitor Center has been renovated and will officially reopen on June 7 with an Open Day. The tourist information office of the Municipality of Cascais has been strategically redesigned to become, starting this Friday, an open door for both the local and international community, due to its diverse offerings.
Designed to be a national and local landmark, the Cascais Visitor Center now offers two new versatile fronts. In addition to being free of charge, the innovative Coworking Space provides all amenities for those who choose it. Remote workers who have already fallen in love with the town can now contribute ideas and work hours in support of Cascais. The recently rebuilt small event room thus becomes the ideal space for various types of events such as presentations, launches, or even conferences. The retail space has also been renovated, now offering new products from companies within the Cascais municipality.
Located in the heart of Cascais, in a premium spot with a privileged view of the sea, this completely renovated place aims to be a "home" that reflects Cascais' DNA through its atmosphere, sustainability practices, local product shop, hosted events, and Coworking Space.
This space is particularly relevant as Cascais is a destination favored by digital nomads worldwide for its appeal to remote work. This advantage has already earned Cascais 2nd place in the Ranking of Best Videos in City Tourism Destinations, with the production "Remote Workers" by Cascais Tourism, launched as part of a 2022 campaign aimed at attracting digital nomads.
To celebrate the opening of this renewed space, next Friday will be an Open Day featuring an official moment with the presence of Carlos Carreiras, Mayor of Cascais, and Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, President of Cascais Tourism, followed by an inauguration cocktail.
